FAUN – PAGAN Earbook

After FAUN's last five albums won gold and platinum awards and placed the band in the Top 5 of the German album charts, the exceptional formation returns to its musical roots with the Pagan album. With archaic rhythms, ancient instruments such as hurdy-gurdy, moraharpa, bagpipes and harp and multi-layered vocals, the musical journey takes us to the far north, to the Celts, to ancient Finland and to the antique roots of European culture.

Together with great musical guests such as Lindy-Fay Hella from WARDRUNA and the folk metal band ELUVEITIE, Faun plays itself into a musical frenzy and playfully masters the balancing act between danceable pagan folk and enchanted ballads.

The album is released in a noble digipack and in a four-colours hardcover book of more than 100 pages. The german/english book contains numerous photos, illustrations by renowned artists like Brian Froud and Stefanie Lostimolo and texts by well-known authors such as Wolf-Dieter Storl and Vivianne Crowley, to allow the listener to delve even deeper into the pagan backgrounds and myths behind the songs.

EDEN is about the search for paradise and takes a journey through different cultures and points of view. Faun - BUCH DER BALLADEN Acoustic Digibook

BUCH DER BALLADEN is the first FAUN acoustic album and emphasizes the quiet and melodic side of FAUN. With no electronic beats or synthesizers this album was produced exclusively with medieval instruments. On this album, FAUN sets ballads to music, which show the fairy tale side of the old times. Songs of trolls and wild water sprites, of the dragon slayer Sigurd, and songs of enchanting yet dangerous fairies can be heard.

BUCH DER BALLADEN is much more than just an audio CD:  in a high-quality embossed hardcover book, the buyer will find a 44-page, four-colors booklet, with the notes and lyrics of all songs, guitar chords and numerous explanations and illustrations of the ballads set to music.

Faun – FAUN & THE PAGAN FOLK FESTIVAL Live CD

This first Live album of FAUN was recorded at the "Pagan Folk Festival" organized by FAUN in Utrecht, Netherlands in 2007. Together with the bands Sieben (UK) and In Gowan Ring (USA) FAUN play their own songs and songs of the guests in virtuoso live versions.

This recording include five songs previously unreleased in any of FAUN studio albums.

Faun – RENAISSANCE CD

The word "Renaissance" means rebirth in the true sense, and gave its name to this album that deals with the themes of death and rebirth.
RENAISSANCE was recorded at the famous Uphon Studio in Weilheim and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London.

Faun - LICHT CD

LICHT marked the first release of FAUN in their original line-up. Thematically, LICHT takes us into the Celtic mythology and follows the symbol of the white stag into the Celtic Otherworld: Annwn.
On LICHT you can find driving Celtic dances like "Andro", Punagra", as well as medieval inspired ballads "Isis", "Fort" and the FAUN classic "Egil Saga". A CD in a noble digipack, which paved the way for FAUN to stages and festivals all over the world and was able to found its own musical genre: Paganfolk.
